Ilaria Sani, PhD
I have always been intrigued by the human and animal capability of understanding and navigating extremely complex situations and by the devastating consequences that brain diseases bring.
As a system and cognitive neuroscientist, I want to understand how the brain takes on this challenge, I want to study the behavior at its full capacity, and I want to commit my investigations to ultimately improve wellbeing.
I believe that combining cutting-edge tools, multiple neuroscientific techniques, and different model systems is fundamental to meet the complexity of the brain and of behavior.
